RAJINI TURNS 59

Happy Birthday Thalaiva!!
The Most popular icon of the Indian Cinemas,Rajnikanth turns 59 today. The superstar requested his fans not to celebrate his birthday this time to express solidarity with the Sri Lankan tamils who are suffering in the Island nation in the ongoing war between LTTE and the Srilankan Army.
Rajni is known for his stylish mannerism and dialogue delivery. He is a very influential and  bankable person in the industry. The highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan,is also well known for his philanthropic activities and for his spiritual ideology. The Superstar is fondly called as "thalaivar"(meaning the leader of the tamils).According to Sudhakar, in-charge, Rajnikanth Fans Welfare Association, ''everyone is deeply hurt by the sufferings of Tamils in the neighboring island nation. Hence we have chosen not to celebrate Rajnikanth's birthday on December 12''.Earlier last month,Kamal Hasaan also chose not to celebrate his birthday on November 7th on the Lankan Tamil issue.
Rajnikanth made his debut in a K Balachander movie 'Aboorva Ragangal',which starred Kamal Hassan in the forefront in 1975.From there on Rajni continued to appear in supporting roles of many KB movies. He was rather a more villain(a bad guy with style, drawing people's notice) at that period of time.
Going back to his journey in the cine industry,it has been Rajni all the way. When Rajni started playing the leading roles in the Tamil cine industry, the block busters posed threat to Kamal.Films like Thalapathi and Baasha pushed Kamal to the second place, making Rajni the biggest superstar of all time. This guided him to receive India's third biggest honour,Padma Bushan, for his contribution to the Indian cinema. The He was reportedly paid Rs.26 crores (about $6.25 million ) for his latest blockbuster Sivaji,The Boss.

His fans want him to enter politics and the Superstar is yet to make a clear-cut decision. If his name enters the books of politics, that would emphasize the power of Tamil film Industry in the political era of Tamil Nadu.
But in my point of view,he is a complete entertainer.A man of 'mass' and 'influence'.He should not be pressurized to enter politics.I want him to deliver a lot more entertainers and blockbusters so that i can go on with the 'first day release celebrations'.Long live our 'Thalaivar'!
