"Our political parties are corrupt. The roads are poor.Sleepless nights due to power-cuts.Bribery and corruption everywhere. The most unclean place to live.Riots and blasts are daily day happenings.Lack of security to the core.India is more like an Indigent nation "
These are some of the statements of an Indian citizen's lamentations today.May be true. But he/she is one of the reasons for these statements which are of great concern, mainly for the public. And the government cannot be spared for this great governing too. Then what is the solution for this issue? If a ruling party is questioned for the poor maintenance of the society, they spend most of the time trying to absolve the blame they are charged upon.At this stage,I would Like to put forward a question. How many of you vote?
For those persons above 18 years who have never seen a polling booth if elections had taken place in your post-18 years period-"You guys have no rights to question the government whatever be the issue".'But what will the government do even if i vote?'.This is a question of a cynical skeptical citizen. Why should you ask when u have not done your basic civil duty?Let us break the ice.Kick out this crass and naive idea from your mind.Come on India! We have the right to select the Indian Prime Minister and the state Chief Minister.Every vote counts.Vote and then question.Rather 'we' will question. It is high time for the young guns to fire.
But i accept that the pre-voting process is a tedious one. There is a simple way.The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is going on between India and Australia and most of you would have seen the commercial Tata tea which is trying to promote the purpose of voting. The commercial has requested the Indian youth to cast their votes. They have given a site url for registering ourselves in the Electoral Process. The url is www.jaagore.com
Just click on this link and register. It hardly takes two minutes.I kindly request you not to skip this.It is our prime duty.So please register yourselves in this mass registration site.I have already registered.Have you?
IF YOU DO NOT VOTE,YOU ARE PROMOTING THIS SYMBOL
An interesting fact:How many of you know that you can go the polling booth and say "I don't want to vote for any party"?I came to know this when I happened to visit a blog called "cheap-n-chalu".Yes,it is possible according to the 1969 act(section 49-0).And the more interesting thing is that if a party wins by a margin of 100 votes and if there are more than hundred (49-0)votes,the polling will be rejected and a fresh re-polling will be conducted. Also, the candidature of the contestants will be removed since the people have already decided the destiny of them in the first polling. This would make butterflies fly in the tummies of the Politicians which would make them hold genuine candidates for the election.I am really wondering the reason why the election commission has failed to disclose this act to the public. So if you feel there is no party to enhance the betterment of the state/country,just go to the polling booth, wait for a while in the queue, get your finger marked and then say to the presiding election officer,I cast the vote 'not to vote'.So let us march towards a politically lucid and sound India which would pave the path for a "Developed Nation".
good one da..
